What’s it about?

‘Take One Picture: North, East, South, West’ is an expansion on the National Gallery’s highly successful Take One Picture scheme.

The scheme encourages the use of paintings as a resource to inspire creative teaching across the primary school curriculum.

Who’s involved?

The National Gallery, London has teamed up with the Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Bristol Museums and Art Gallery to make the scheme more widely accessible to teachers.

This website contains easy-to-access information about the scheme and free online resources for teachers on how art can be used as a stimulus to support the National Curriculum.

The website also provides online exhibitions of the work created by schools taking part in the Take One Picture: North, East, South, West project.
