The children were encouraged to imagine
themselves stepping into the picture. Having talked
about the river and the castle they would have passed
on their journey with Tobias, they were asked to think
about the sounds they might have heard.
They thought about how the sounds could be made, experimenting
with moving water around, pouring it from various heights,
and walking across different surfaces to represent Tobias'
footsteps. They imagined that a royal family lived in
the castle and that hidden crowds would be hailing the
king and queen. Their soundtrack can be heard on the
film.
