Shorne C of E Primary School Dragon Model

Exploring Uccello's 'Saint George and the Dragon' and integrating it into all areas of the curriculum was an ongoing project for the staff and students at Shorne C of E Primary School. Year 6 students made the structure for the model but all 309 children in the school contributed to the dragon through adding their bits of papier mâché. Finally the Reception class painted him. Preparation for making the dragon took place through storytelling work during the Literacy Hour, work in Maths on perimeter and area, and during Art and Design.
