Take One Picture

A one-day course at the National Gallery for primary school teachers 2008-9

The 'Take One Picture' course uses paintings as a focus for integrating art into the curriculum. It offers general principles of working with images, both printed and virtual reproductions, in the classroom.

The course is linked to the National Gallery's highly successful nationwide scheme, which aims to encourage primary schools to deliver a variety of curriculum subjects, for instance, literacy, ICT and history, as well as art, using a painting as a stimulus.
