St Lawrence College

Teachers at St Lawrence College were inspired to use 'The Graham Children' as an integral part of the curriculum planning.

They wanted students to be so familiar with the painting that they would be able to step into it, and to record the ensuing conversations and experiences that the characters in the portrait might have. This was achieved by photography, video recordings, transcribing their spoken responses, and by the students themselves actually taking on the role of the artist.
